Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

I provide individual, family, and group art therapy and counseling to support growth, empowerment, and insight. In addition, I offer yoga and mindfulness practices that can be integrated into therapy or explored on their own to enhance overall well-being.

Who do you work with?

I work with women, children, LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and refugees, as well as anyone who has been impacted by trauma or community violence.

What is your approach?

I draw from feminist therapy, family systems, liberation psychology, narrative therapy, mindfulness-based art therapy, and somatic therapy. I look at individual and familial experiences, as well as the larger societal, cultural, and environmental contexts that shape each person, while also incorporating creative and body-based practices to support growth.

Do I need to have experience with art to do art therapy?

No experience with art is necessary to benefit from art therapy. The focus of art therapy is mainly on the process rather than the product. It is not about creating “good” or polished artwork, but expressing oneself, exploring emotions, and gaining insight.

Do you accept insurance?
Where are you located?

I am based in Philadelphia and provide telehealth services to clients throughout Pennsylvania, making therapy accessible from the comfort of your own home.

I do not bill insurance directly. This is a thoughtful decision to prioritize your privacy and give me more flexibility in how I support your care. Insurance companies often require a mental health diagnosis, detailed documentation, and may limit the type or length of services covered. By working outside of that system, I can provide therapy that is confidential, affirming, and shaped by your needs rather than restricted by insurance rules.

You can schedule an appointment by contacting me directly via phone, email, or the online booking form on my website. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so that I can offer that time to another client. This allows for flexibility while helping maintain continuity of care for everyone.

How do I schedule or cancel an appointment?

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the information your insurance company needs if you’d like to request out-of-network reimbursement for therapy. While I do not bill insurance directly, you can submit the superbill to your provider to see if they will cover a portion of your session costs. Coverage and reimbursement amounts vary by plan, so it’s a good idea to check with your insurance company about your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, and submission process.
